Thanks to the student body's purchase of wind power, the University of Maryland ranks No. 6 on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Top 20 College and University list of the largest green power purchasers. Using their "Student Sustainability Fee," which was created in 2009, the students at the University of Maryland purchased 66 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of WGES CleanSteps® WindPower, enough to meet 26% of their university's electricity use.

At The Bike Rack, we strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We are proud to say that 100% of our employees use bicycles as their main mode of transportation.
