Washington Gas Energy Services Introduces New Residential Electricity Offer for Delaware Consumers (Update)

Offer Includes Lower Prices, and Environmental Benefits
Herndon, VA — Washington Gas Energy Services, Inc. (WGES), a leading competitive supplier of electricity and natural gas to mid-Atlantic businesses and residential customers, today announced that it will extend its discount residential electricity offer for Delaware customers of Delmarva Power. WGES guarantees a 10% discount off Delmarva Power’s winter electricity rates through May 2009. This offer is only available to Delmarva Power- Delaware Schedule R (also referred to as "Residential Service") customers.
In addition to offering customers lower prices, WGES provides a cleaner electricity supply. WGES has been a leader in supporting renewable energy, and to continue that record, 5% of the electricity in this Delaware residential offer comes from regional wind power facilities.
Customers served under Delmarva Power’s Delaware Schedule RH (also referred to as "Residential Heating Service") may also save, depending on the amount of electricity they use. Residential Heating customers should call the WGES Customer Care Center for offers that apply to their rate schedule.

Customers also should keep in mind that switching to WGES requires no change in the power lines or connections to their homes. Delmarva Power will continue to distribute the power. In fact, WGES will even include its charges right on their Delmarva Power bill.”
