When you choose WGES, your electricity includes clean, renewable wind power fed into the regional PJM electricity grid that powers your home. Currently, the wind energy credits are sourced from wind farms located in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Illinois. With WGES CleanSteps^SM WindPower, you help clean your local environment and increase wind power demand in our region. And, your CleanSteps^SM Windpower purchase improves our energy security by stimulating future demand for clean, natural energy that wind turbines generate.

Over 10,000 WGES customers purchase 50% or 100% CleanSteps^SM WindPower, all other WGES residential electric customers receive 5% wind power as part of their electricity supply, above and beyond any jurisdictional requirements for renewable energy content.
